AstraZeneca shares soar amid strong demand for cancer treatments

AstraZeneca has reported a rise in sales this year, driven by strong demand for its range of cancer treatments. For the first half of the year, revenues increased by 6% to £23bn, while profits grew by 2% to £5bn. Chief executive Pascal Soriot attributed these results to booming sales of specific cancer drugs.
