At 2pm AEST, compatible mobile devices, including some smartwatches and tablets, will receive a pop-up notification and a loud siren. This alert cannot be silenced, even on silent or do not disturb modes. Simultaneously, the state government announced that new tidal baths at Callan Park in Lilyfield, located on the Parramatta River, are under construction and will open this summer.
