Brit holidaymaker thrown in Turkish prison and 'treated like animal' for ridiculous reason

Carl Ratcliffe, 47, and his fiancée Natalia Flynn, 49, travelled to the luxury Susona Hotel in Bodrum for an eight-day getaway starting 10 June. The trip became a nightmare when Ratcliffe was thrown into a Turkish prison during a life-threatening medical emergency. He reported being treated like an animal by Turkish cops. The romantic holiday, intended for a marriage proposal, resulted in the Brit being detained for reasons described as ridiculous and crazy.
