Brit woman jailed for 6 years in Hong Kong over £100,000 rape claim 'blackmail'

Isabel Rose, a woman from Hackney, east London, has been sentenced to six years in prison at Tai Lam Correctional Institution. The ruling followed a trial at the District Court in Hong Kong regarding a £100,000 rape claim described as blackmail. This occurred more than two years after she reported a rape allegation against a banker. Although the accused banker apologised and was arrested, he was not charged with the crime before Rose was jailed.
