Convicted conman cleared at trial of killing wealthy heiress wife murdered her, coroner concludes

A coroner has concluded that Paula Leeson, a wealthy heiress from Sale, was murdered by her husband, Donald McPherson. Leeson was found dead in a swimming pool whilst on holiday. Although McPherson is a convicted conman, he had previously been cleared at trial for the killing and has consistently denied any involvement in the death, maintaining that the incident was a tragic accident.
