Council given powers to tackle anti-social behaviour

Torbay Council officers have been granted limited additional powers to combat anti-social behaviour. Simultaneously, Newcastle city centre is experiencing an increase in police patrols throughout the summer as part of a crackdown on disruptive conduct. This initiative, known as Operation Toonwatch, focuses on addressing individuals who cause trouble for local businesses and the general public. Both regions are implementing these strategic measures to enhance public order and tackle problematic behaviour within their communities.
