Cyclospora: iceberg lettuce recalled in 27 states and more products may follow

Taylor Farms has initiated a voluntary recall of shredded iceberg lettuce sourced from central Mexico across 27 US states, including Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. The action follows a multistate outbreak of cyclosporiasis, caused by a diarrhoea-inducing parasite. As cases continue to rise, the US may face further infections for at least two weeks. The ongoing investigation suggests that additional products could be affected, although the company has not specified where the lettuce was sold.
