Former British Army soldier Nirmal Purja confirmed dead in Pakistan avalanche

Nirmal Purja, a renowned Nepalese mountaineer and former British Special Forces soldier, has died following an avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan. The Netflix star, who famously scaled the world's fourteen highest peaks in just over six months during 2019, was leading an expedition of ten climbers at the time of the tragedy.
