Foster + Partners cleared over man’s death when window fell from London penthouse

Foster + Partners, the architecture firm responsible for the Gherkin and the Reichstag, has been cleared of responsibility for the death of Mick Ferris. The 53-year-old coach driver died in 2018 after a window fell 90 metres from a newly constructed London penthouse. While the Crown Court ruled that the firm was not guilty, project managers and engineers were found guilty of safety breaches related to the fatal incident that occurred at the luxury residential site.
