Labor MP Ed Husic has been hospitalised after his car collided with a truck on Sydney's M7 motorway on Tuesday around 6.20pm. The Chifley MP was travelling home from his electorate office when the accident occurred. Husic sustained fractures and a concussion as a result of the crash. Consequently, the politician is stepping away from his parliamentary duties for a short period of leave to recover from his injuries following the motorway incident.
