Michigan reports first two US deaths from ‘explosive diarrhea’ cyclosporiasis outbreak

Michigan health officials have reported the first two deaths in the United States linked to a cyclosporiasis outbreak. This intestinal illness, caused by a microscopic parasite, has been associated with contaminated lettuce across Michigan and eight other states.
