NHS app to use AI to determine which service best for patients

The NHS will introduce AI into its app to triage patients and determine the most suitable healthcare services for their needs. This tool will assess whether users require a GP appointment, a pharmacy visit, or A&E attendance based on condition severity. Part of a £10bn system overhaul, the update will reach approximately 200,000 patients over the next year, with full availability for all users across England expected by April 2028.
