Olympic stadium provides shelter for dogs rescued from Greece wildfires

The Megara Olympians Municipal Stadium, originally designed for athletes, has been converted into a temporary emergency shelter for more than 110 dogs. These animals were rescued from devastating wildfires that have torn through the Attica region surrounding Athens. Volunteers are currently looking after the dogs, utilising the stadium's running track as a makeshift home to provide necessary refuge and care for the rescued animals during this ongoing environmental crisis in Greece.
