Savage, a play about Paul O’Grady’s rise to national treasure, to premiere in February

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK champion Danny Beard will star as the lead in Savage, a new play about the life of the late Paul O'Grady. Written by Jonathan Harvey, the production charts O'Grady's journey from a care worker and the creation of his drag alter-ego, Lily Savage, in Vauxhall pubs to becoming a national treasure. The play, which premieres in February, explores his rise to fame and his celebrated television career before his death in 2023.
