Zoe Backstedt misses out on podium as Marlen Reusser wins Tour de France Femmes stage four

World time trial champion Marlen Reusser of Movistar won the 21km stage four time trial of the Tour de France Femmes, travelling from Gevrey-Chambertin to Dijon in 27min 30sec. This victory allowed the Swiss rider to take the yellow jersey from Sigrid Haugset, leading Demi Vollering by 14 seconds in the general classification. Meanwhile, Britain's Zoe Backstedt narrowly missed the podium, finishing just two seconds away from the top three positions during the competitive individual event.
